Ryan is a strategic innovator with a global outlook and currently works on conversational assistants at Google's headquarters. Prior to Google, Ryan lived in 10 countries with a range of international working experience with Airbnb in London, a tech startup in Silicon Valley, a hospitality group in Vietnam and a marketing consultancy in China. He also founded two small businesses and hackerhouses in the Valley. Ryan not only has a penchant for emerging technology but is grounded by a strong business foundation. He holds an MIM from the London School of Economics and University of St. Gallen, where he consulted with AT Kearney on the technologies that will drive fundamental change in healthcare 2050 and shared his views of the future at the St Gallen Symposium. Prior to that, he studied technology entrepreneurship at Stanford University, completed a MSc and BBA from NUS Business School and University Scholars Program, where he published a paper on ambient intelligence in Springer’s series of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) and Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) and presented at the Human Computer Interaction International Conference in Los Angeles, USA. His interests are in whitespaces and tech applications that drive positive social impact.
